Kitchen sink relocation and appliance rough-in
Sink moved to a new island position with dishwasher and refrigerator connections coordinated to the cabinetry plan.

The goal
What the project needed to achieve
Move the kitchen sink to an island, add a dishwasher connection and provide a serviceable water line for the refrigerator.
Approach
How it was handled
- 01Cabinet shop drawings were reviewed first so pipe positions matched the final carcass layout, not the demolition layout.
- 02Access was planned from below to limit cutting in the finished floor above.
- 03Isolation valves were placed where they can actually be reached from inside the island.
- 04Final connections were made after countertops were set to avoid working around a template.
Installed components
What went in
A component list makes a project record useful years later, when somebody needs to service what was installed.
- Island drain and vent arrangement
- Dishwasher supply with dedicated shutoff
- Refrigerator water line with accessible isolation
- Undermount sink connection and disposal-ready tailpiece
- New angle stops throughout the kitchen run
